Prepping: Crash Helmets |
New, white crash helmets are the ideal surface on which to paint custom airbrush work. However, if the helmet is used and has factory graphics, transfers or stickers, these will need to be removed and the surface made good ready for the design to be airbrushed. The cost to prepare the surface will be reflected in the overall price to complete the custom artwork.

TIP: Monster + Creature themes are best suited to Simpson, Craft + Roof Boxer type of helmet shape |
Where appropriate, helmets are stripped of trims, vents and visors. Surfaces are flatted, primed & base-coated (if necessary) and degreased ready for airbrushing.

Prepping: Petrol Tanks, Motorbike and Auto Parts |
Bare metal items may need to be shot-blasted and require priming, filling and base-coating ready for artwork. Factory graphics, transfers or stickers will need to be removed and the surface made good ready for the design to be airbrushed. The cost to prepare the surface will be reflected in the overall price to complete the custom artwork. Request a quotation. |
TIP: Before transporting petrol tanks please completely drain the tank of fuel!

Base-Coat Colours & Special F/X |
There are numerous paint effects that may be considered as a base-coat which can make your design extra special such as:
METALFLAKE + CANDY, HOLOGRAPHIC FLAKE, FLIP-FLOP (CHAMELEON), MARBLEISING, TARTAN TEXTURE etc. as well as SOLID COLOUR, PEARL, IRIDESCENT, FLUORESCENT & GLO-IN-THE-DARK. CHROME etc...

DESIGN & ARTWORK |
Any design work (character and/or graphic design/colour layout) required prior to placing your customising order will be charged at £60 and this cost is redeemable against the total cost of the work.
For example: You require a unique cartoon snake character for your helmet design and want to see what it will look like first. You pay £60 and I design the character. After your approval of the design you place the order to have your helmet customised and the overall price you pay will be less the £60 design charge.

Finishing |
All items are clear-coated using layers of 2 pack automotive industry standard lacquer giving the artwork durable protection. The work is then polished and buffed to a high-gloss finish.
